


MARBLE-TOP CLASSICAL CENTER TABLE
New York, c. 1825
The circular top with dark figured marble inset held by a wood frame, above a conforming apron with three large foliate gilt-stencils centering a lion’s mask, above a tapering cylindrical column on a stenciled tripartite base raised on carved animal-paw feet with foliate brackets on caster wheels.
H: 28¼” Diameter: 34½”
Condition: Excellent: Some wear to the stencil decoration on the apron, and minor losses to carving on feet.
